Sunday mornings are the heart of our practice, but they’re not the only time we sit together. A few times a year, we offer special events for our registered students that let you experience zazen in a new way.
Recently: Moonlight Zazen-kai
October 25 & 26, 2026 · Evening · Hakone Gardens

For two autumn evenings, we sat together in the Upper House as the moon rose over the garden. One hour of zazen each night, by candlelight, in the stillness of the garden after dark, with seats limited to 35 people per night.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Hakone Gardens for hosting us. We hope to sit under the moon together again soon.
