Grateful that we’re sitting together and sharing. Let me share a recent Zen saying I came across:
“下山路是上山路” (asan no michiwa kore jozan no michi) translates to “The path down the mountain is the way up the mountain.”
The lesson is all about “sharing what you’ve got” in a positive way. If you’ve put in the effort to gain some skills or knowledge, it’s not just for your own benefit. It’s about passing it on to those who are still learning so we can all progress towards our best selves. In our zendo, we share what we’ve learned and experienced through discussions – our way of sharing. So, let’s experience, learn, and then share.
