生老病死 （shou rou byo shi)
Rev Ito talked about his surgery and shou rou byo shi. This originates from the Buddhist notion of the Four Sufferings:
- Birth
- Aging
- Sickness
- Death
These are four sufferings people can’t avoid.
結跏趺坐(kekka fuza)
Do you know lotus position for zazen?
Lotus Position in Japanese is 結跏趺坐 (kekka fuza). Rev Ito talked about getting ready for zazen. Also 吉祥坐(kisso za) is the best way to sit for zazen.
